So I suppose sometimes living life in this day and age can seem hard we are in a society which can sometimes place a lot of emphasis on money, power and titles, who you are and what you are but not in the personal sense of the word more like how many people you control and what kind of car you drive.Im not for one second saying its not a good thing to have a good job, I'm simply saying there is more to life so don't get down in the dumps over not having a lot of what we see tend to see as our ultimate life achievements i.e. a nice car, house, a lot of money in your bank account etc.
I have friends of every age ranging from 18-70 who don't know where their life is going and the truth is no one has it all figured out, even the celebrities that look like they have the perfect lives from the outside, although it may not seem it they have just as many problems.Material wealth is only one component of a good life, having material abundance does make your journey more enjoyable but it is not YOUR actual journey! Success in your life includes good health, energy, loving relationships, freedom to express yourself, emotional and psychological stability and a huge sense of self. I know personally been in my twenties that all of my friends agree when we say we don't know where we are going to be in ten years but I have come to the understanding that that is one of the miracles of life.Where we are right now in our lives is exactly where we are meant to be, from someone who used to suffer from anxiety, when i actually started to realise this it was a huge comfort for me, Im not saying I'm completely over and still suffer from the "where am I going" syndrome occasionally like I know we all do, but I can get myself out of it now.
I have a lot of people ask me how I am so positive all the time and how I'm so lucky! The truth is we are all lucky we just need to start seeing it this is the key to living a happy and successful life. We all our blessed with wonderful lives the very fact that we are alive is a blessing in itself we have been given the gift of life but it is up to us as to wether we chose to see this or not.If your start your day complaining you are just setting yourself up for a bad day, a bad day leads into a bad week which can lead into a bad month, year you get the picture....... But if your start your day giving thanks for your bed the roof over your head your breakfast and continue this throughout your day everyday you will eventually have a "good life" I know it can be tough and you may be reading this thinking that is impossible what if something terrible happens like if my car breaks down how can i be grateful and remain in a good mood well there is the old saying every cloud has a sliver lining and its up to you to see it maybe the AA guy who comes to fix your car turns out to be incredibly nice or maybe it stopped you been in the wrong place at the wrong time you just don't no.
One of the simplest ways I've discovered to stay happy is to let go out of your life the things that make you sad.Now I know this is hard and it can be so difficult it always seems so much easier to hold on to what you know, the job you've always done the relationship you've had for a long time etc but if you hold on to these things it will only create negativity in your life. If you only see the things that make you happy, if you only focus on these and work towards them while ignoring the rest you will eventually get that happiness you deserve but it is up too to start living your life in a positive way to attain it.So to sum up there are three key points to living a successful happy life seeing exactly what you have and been grateful for it, not comparing yourself to anyone else and only focusing on the good letting the negative thing in your life go.I hope this gives you a little lift.
LOVE Annie xxx
