The secret to an anxiety free life

Do you suffer from anxiety?

Do you almost never have enough time?

Are you having trouble sleeping or working relentlessly, but don’t seem to be getting anywhere?

Do you feel like you don’t know where your going in life?

 I’ve been there and I want to help you overcome these feelings.


If you haven't read this blog before my name is Ann Marie-Smith, Life Strategist, Author, CEO and Founder of Alightersidetolife
I want to support you in implementing this, alongside other strategies proven to eliminate these issues whilst creating the life of your dreams.

So to begin, I would to tell you a little about why I started Alightersidetolife. I began seeking the more that life had to offer, after going through two traumatic events in my life the loss of my brother in a car accident and an 8 year relationship break up. Both of these events and the fact that I didn't know where I was going in my life, attributed to me suffering from depression, anxiety and panic attacks for a period in my life. You may or may not have been through as extreme trauma or as painful of an experience in your life, however, you may be suffering similarly. So I can personally relate to anyone feeling unsatisfied with their life in any area. My journey of wanting to acquire more happiness in my daily life began here.



On my journey to becoming a Life Strategist I tried several get rich or die trying schemes, numerous heal your life conferences a and breakthrough experiences. In summarisation I learnt ALOT!
It is from the years of research that I realised having a truly happy and content life comes from acquiring the knowledge of a series strategies and how to implement them into every area of our lives.

It is also from this journey that I learnt the secret to every person on earth, living the life of their dreams. It lies in the moment of them recognising that they themselves are a unique individual, with a unique set of gifts, inherent personal character strengths and life values.

Chose an area that is causing you the most worry, anxiety or stress, this is what you need to work on. The next step is to uncover what lie you have been believing that s preventing you from achieving brilliance in this area. What is it? Now you have realised,  create three actionable steps that you can take in this area to counteract this lie. You can approach this in two ways. You can incorporate positive habits into your already established routine or you can chose to eliminate old negative habits thus ensuring you achieve the results you want to. For example if you would like to lose weight your new winning actions could be to drink 2 litres of water a day, eat more fruit or to cut our eating sugar laden foods.

Hi lighters,

How is everyone doing?

I am busy getting ready for a prelaunch of  my newly transformed Alightersidetolife

I am just writing a quick little blog post on values and the importance of aligning yourself to your values.

If you don't know what your values are you are just going with the wind ;-)

I have come to the conclusion that personal happiness in our life comes down to these three keys

1. Our values are a set of attributes that unique to each individual  which govern our behaviour  and guide the way we look at the world

2. Our strengths, each individual has a unique set of strengths and skills they can utilise in their lives to ensure they are giving life all that they have got.

3. Our life goal or mission this is also a very unique and individual thing. An individuals personal mission maybe to have a family and be the best father/mother they can be, or it may be to change the world. The one thing that is definite is that if ones mission aligns with a  greater good for humanity it will be support by the universe who I personally believe to be God.

11 ways to have a mindful day

 

1. One Minute Of Mindfulness

Initially, I would recommend that you start you day of with a minimum of  5 minutes of just sitting and being in the moment.

You can introduce short ‘meditation minutes’ throughout your day.  During this time, your task is to focus your entire attention on your breathing, and nothing else.

Tip - most people believe that breathing in through your mouth and out through your nose is the correct way to take a deep breath. It isn't breathing in through your nose and out through it will allow your lungs to expand to their full capacity, filling you whole body with oxygen.

Do this as many times as you can throughout the day.

2. Mindful listening

Be in the now. When listening to another person we are often there in body, but not fully present. Very often, we are not focusing on listening to them; we are caught up in our own mind chatter. We judge what they are saying, mentally agreeing or disagreeing, or we think about what we want to say next.

Focus all of your attention on the other person. You’ll be amazed at the power of listening; it’s an act of love and kindness.

3. Mindful chores

Turn your ordinary household tasks into mindfulness sessions. For many of us, housework takes up quite a good portion of our lives. Instead of thinking of it as just a boring chore, the task can becomes a mindfulness ritual.

Once again, practice being in the now and giving everything to the task at hand. Whether that is in your personal life or in work you will be more productive and give the task at hand one 100%, regardless you are doing.



4. Eating mindfully

Eating mindfully can help you reclaim the pleasure of food. So many of us have become out of touch with this, one of life’s most simple and wonderful pleasures. Mindful eating has been shown to aid weight loss and have aided healthy digestion.

Sit and eat. It is that simple.

5. Slow down!

Physically slowing down helps us to mentally slow down

Our culture is one of business, effort, deadlines, striving and achieving. The information age has us racing through life at a pace that would make our forefathers’ heads spin— but are we happier?
Many of us rarely allow ourselves to slow down and be fully present for the precious moments of our lives, and we’re shortchanging our lives living like that.

Slow down actually walk instead of running through your day if we race through life we miss half the joy of getting there.

6. One thing mentality


Stop and do the one thing you are meant to be doing.

For a couple of decades now, the catch phrase has been “multi-tasking.” Some people boast of their multitasking abilities on their resumes or at job interviews, others do it among friends and family as they talk about the things they try to get done in a day.

There is a myth that multitasking make us more productive; in reality, it drains us faster. Trying to spread our attention so thin and keep up with so many things makes us more prone to mistakes. We’re not more productive; we’re just busier, both mentally and physically, exhausting ourselves needlessly.

7.’Watch’ The Mind

Stop. Through self-observation, mindfulness automatically streams into your life. The moment you realize you are not being mindful – you are mindful!

Watch your thoughts!

8. Nothing Time

Living in a culture where idleness is frowned on has made many of us forget how to be still and do nothing at all. The mentality has been ingrained in us that screams, do, do, do! Go, go, go! The idea of sitting and doing nothing can be so foreign to us, it makes many feel uncomfortable—guilty, even.
We don’t have to be doing all the time, though. Take some nothing time each day. Even if it’s just five minutes, sit for that five minutes and do… nothing.

Sit silently in a favourite chair or place and just simply be.

9. Mindful Walking

Walking can give you a chance to spend time being mindful without taking any extra time from your day. Whether you’re walking around your neighbourhood, from the car to the store or through the hallways at work, you can turn it into a meditative exercise.

10. Come To Your Senses


As you go about your day be mindful of the feel of sun on your skin or the wind in your hair when you leave the house. Be mindful of the softness of a chair, or the smoothness of a stone. Take a breath and put your focus on what scents you’re taking in.

11. Urge Surfing

Sometimes we have urges, cravings, impulses.

These can actually be transformed into a wonderful ‘wake up call’ into mindfulness.

The next time you feel an urge, know that you don’t have to fight it; you don’t have to follow or give into it either. You can simply be there to observe it with mindful awareness.

Step one to the life of your dreams - Oprah Winfrey's ethos

Hi everybody
 
So I have purposely taken some time off to get some personal goals achieved.
 
I just wanted to write a quick blog on what I have learnt over the last few months.
 
I have been working 12,14 and sometimes even 16 hour days on my journey to the life of my dreams, but I have recently come to realisation that although we already know how important it is to take time off, we may not execute it enough in our lives.
 
This morning I got up an hour early, this is part of one of my new positive life patterns.
 
I feel the need to share why new positive life patterns are so important, especially creating time to be by yourself and breathe.
 
I was overworking the last few months, getting up an hour early, but only to find that I was subconsciously doing this to work more and that wasn't the initial goal.
 
I wanted to get up early to create more time to breathe and just be, but found myself using it to WORK!
 
I know this concept of taking time to just BE is a hard one. The world as a whole pushes us to always be on the "go" with the odd "drinking session" that is mistakenly called "down time" thrown in. When in reality we are still working socialising making conversation with others and not really creating quality rest time.
 
The Philosophy I have acquired is that "over" anything i.e overwork or overplay or over bodily activity of any kind produces the opposite effect of what we are striving to achieve.
 
It results in apathy and stagnation and distracts us from the realisation on the higher power that is within us.
 
 
Therefore we should seek silence regularly because in doing this we will create a space. Time to actually think and if you didn't know already this is the secret, thought is the secret in the attainment of the LIFE OF YOUR DREAMS
 
Everyone's view on the "life of their dreams" is different, but if we do not take time to even contemplate what our individual one is, we simply will never achieve it.
 
If you want the life of your dreams, you first and foremost must outline it, it cannot simply be I want 1 million pounds, a mansion or six holidays a year! You need to get into the detail, to then realise how you can achieve it.

Asi es como yo lo hice.

!Hola a Todos!

!Estoy muy agradecida a todos los que leeis mis articulos! !Muchas gracias!  Mis articulos estan siendo leido en todo el mundo .

En relación a mi ultimo articulo, queria hablar sobre "deseos" pero despues de ver cuantas personas estan leyendo mi articulo en "vulnerabilidad" (ver abajo)

 



Siento que es necesario hablar de ello una vez mas antes de pasar a otro tema.
 


 
He hablado sobre vision y estare hablando sobre vision y fe en mis siguientes articulos . 

Sin embargo, lo que nunca hice es escribir sobre "uno mismo" !

Como te sientes sobre ti mism@? Sobre quien eres? Sientes que no sabes quien eres?.

Bien, que mejor momento para saberlo que AHORA. Yo puedo hablar y hablar sobre motivacion pero... ¿y si tu no te sientes comodo contigo mismo en primer lugar?

Te voy a contra algo... Nadie es 100%feliz con ellos mismo . Y si dicen que lo son,  probablemente estan mintiendo para proteger su ego. Todos tenemos cosas que nos gustaria cambiar de nosotros mismos, puede ser fisical, mental o emocional, la forma que actuamos, a veces nos gustaria tener mas confianza en nosotros mismos.
 




Entregarte a una vida de honestidad y claridad puede parecer una peligrosa proposicion, pero yo creo que es el camino mas valiente para nosotros de vivir una vida AUTENTICA

!Cualquier cosa que sea! todos tenemos al menos UNA!

Te digo una buena noticia...

¿sabes como superar esos puntos que no te gustan de ti y empezar a gustarte a ti mismo?

!Tienes que aceptarlos!

Asi es como yo lo hice.

Deje de quejarme de lo que no podia cambiar en mi misma y tome accion en las cosas que podia cambiar! 

Empieza hoy a analizar las cosas que quieres cambiar, si es tu apariencia fisica (si es asi, deja de compararte con los demas, tu no tienes que ser como ellos ,tu has sido diseñad@ para ser tu mismo!) la forma en la que hablas, superar ansiedades, o confianza en ti misma.

!Toma accion!
 


connexion es la energia que es creada entre personas cuando ellos se sienten vistos, escuchados y valorados - cuando pueden dar y recibir sin ser juzgados


Asi que para de juzgarte sobre lo que no puedes cambiar, empieza por pequeños cambios, repitete a ti mismo qie no es tan malo, una vez que empieces a trabajar en lo que puedes cambiar , tu atención cambiara.

Espero que esto te ayude, mi mayor consejo es: cava profundo, cava hasta llegar a quien tu realmente eres! 
Deja de distraerte con el mundo y pasa tiempo contigo mism@ descubriras que realmente te gusta quien eres.

How I stopped hating who I was!

Hi everyone!

I'm sending out a HUGE thank you to every one reading my posts! They are being viewed as I type my people all over the world.

 My blog has been viewed over 200,000 times and this completely humbles me, here are my statistics from today.


So thank you to France for loving me right now ;-)

Following on from my last post I wanted to talk about desire but after seeing how many people are still reading my post on vulnerability (Please see below)





Then I feel like I need to address this topic again before moving on.



I have talked about vision and will be talking about faith and desire in my next blogs. 

However what I neglected to start with is the self!

How do you feel about yourself? About who you are? Do you feel like you don't even know who you are.

Well what better time to find out then now. It is all fine and dandy for me to talk about being motivated but what if you don't even feel happy or comfortable in your skin in the first place.

Let me let you in on a little secret. Nobody is 100% happy in themselves. If they say they are, they are probably lying to protect their ego. We all have things we would like to change about ourselves, be it physical, mental, emotionally, they way we act, sometimes we would like to have more confidence.



Whatever it may be! We all have at least ONE thing!

Now let me tell you the good news

Guess how you get over this one or the many things that you dislike about yourself and start actually liking who you are

You have got to embrace them!

This is how I went from not liking myself.

I stopped disliking the things about myself that I couldn't change and addressed the things I could! 

Start today to address the things you don't like about yourself that you can change, be it physical appearance (If it is please stop comparing yourself to others you weren't meant to be them you were made to be you!) the way you speak, getting over anxiety, or your confidence.

Take an action!


Then stop giving yourself a hard time over things you cannot change, start small, telling yourself that it is actually not that bad, once you start to work on the things you can change your focus will shift to them.

I hope this helps, my main advice would be just be to dig in, dig in to who you really are! 
Stop distracting yourself with the world and spend some time by yourself you will discover you actually like who you are

Como life coach hablo con personas todos los dias que quieren cambiar sus vidas!

Sabes cual es la diferencia entre personas que desean una vida diferente y esos que ya la tienen?

La Fe te lleva a ACTUAR 
 Las ACCIONES te llevan al EXITO

Esta es la diferencia entre los que quieren cambiar su vida y los que no.

Algunas personas quieren cambiar su apariencia,como viven o como son como personas, otras, en cambio, solo se quejan de ello!  Esa es la verdad!


El cambio es el procceso esencial de toda existencia

Te voy a dar tres simples pasos para cambiar tu vida...


1) Visualiza

2) Desea

3) Ten Fe  



Hablare mas de deseo y fe en mi siguiente articulo, pero por ahora " crea la vision"-

 Tomate tiempo para pensar en lo que quieres en tu vida. Como minimo piensa en 1, 3 y 5 años vistas de objetivos..

Escribelos. Detallalo todo, si quieres esa casa concreta , describela en detalle, si quieres cierto tipo de pareja, describe las caracteristicas ideales que tiene que tener

Las estadisticas muestran los siguiente...

Las personas aprenden

90%  cuando enseñan a alguien o lo usan inmediatamente
75% cuando practican lo que han aprendido
50% cuando forman parte de un grupo con intereses communes
30%  cuando ven una demostración
20%  por medios audio-visuals
10%  a traves de lecturas
5% a traves de enseñanzas 




Toma unos minutos para visualizar tus objetivos diariamente, cierra tus ojos y visualiza, siente como seria le ver tus objetivos cumplidos, , como te sentirias de saber que has alcanzado tus metas? que llevas puesto? donde estas viviendo? 

Si quieres conseguir tus metas, lo primero es entrenartu subsconciente a creer en ello, saber que es possible y esto lo hara creer

 Los pensamientos se convierten en cosas. si lo ves en tu mente, lo puedes tener en tus manos


Declaralo alto y claro! 
Hazlo dos veces al dia, preferiblemente por la mañana antes de empezar tu dia y por la noche al acostarte.

Este es el primer para para construer la vida de tus sueños que estas esperando!
