Hi everyone!
My blog has been viewed over 500 times since my last post al over the world, with these just stats from the last few days today.
So I just want to say a huge thank you for all your support and your challenges. Keep following my progress here or on my other social media links in my previous blog post and keep the challenges coming!
Heres an update on how my challenges are going and what I've learned along the way...
Rock buddy challenge - Challenged by Una Kiernan - This was fun. I basically had to find a rock wash it, dry it, name it and carry it around with me all day introducing to people as my friend.
I found this fun but slightly embarrassing. The idea behind it was to get over the fear of peoples perception of oneself. I really felt like it worked, it was terrifying I really had to not care what people thought of me to succeed at this challenge. I forgot to take it out of the office with me so I think I will have to do this one again to really get the full benefit of it.
Tight challenge - Challenged by Graham Murphy. This one wasn't so intellectually challenging, I had to wear a pair of tights. Although anyone who knows me knows I hate tights. I just think they are uncomfortable and look ugly! I have to admit I did warm to the idea of them idea a tiny bit during this challenge but that does not mean I will be wearing them again any time soon!
Truth day - Challenged by Majorie Taylor - I had a day of telling the truth and having to be completely honest when asked a question. I found this easy although i wasn't asked any tough questions, so if I had been asked anything more serious it could have gotten me into a lot of trouble! hehe!
Charity challenge - Challenged by anonymous. My challenge was to clear out my wardrobe. This involved taking out anything I hadn't worn in the last year and putting it in my suitcase to bring to a charity shop. Which I did. This was actually felt quite liberating and I felt great after it. I have started compiling a new bundle of clothes that I don't wear that often since this so I will be donating these as well soon. I would recommend anyone to do this over lent I think its a really nice thing to do, you will feel wonderful after it!
Fruit and vegetable challenge - Challenged by Helena O Callagahan. For my fruit and vegetable challenge my daily diet had to just consist of... you guessed it, fruit and vegetables. To be honest I thought i would have found this easier but although I am a pescatarian I still love eating gluten free bread and pasta etc. So I ended up eating about 10 oranges to keep me going throughout the day. On the positive side though I felt great from all the vitamin C.
Yes challenge - Challenged by Vickie Chiu. My next challenge was to say "yes" to everything for a day. But I was told not to tell anyone as you can imagine what silly things I would have had to do if people knew! This was also quiet liberating and quiet hard just in the fact that every conversation I had or sign I seen and leaflet I was handed I had to say yes to.
Speech challenge - Challenged by Steve Rawle. On Wednesday the 24th of February I had to stand up and give a talk to my work colleagues this was quiet daunting as although I want to become a motivational speaker. I hadn't made a presentation in front of over 50 people since college. I found it quiet intimidating at first but once I got used to the fact everyone in the room was looking at me, I chilled out a little and began to realise I just needed to concentrate on what I wanted to say. This was definitely one of the best challenges I have completed yet and I really feel like I conquered a fear by completing it.
Chivalry day- Challenged by Ian Hobbs. The challenge was to stand outside every door for at least a minute and see if anyone would open it for me. This was so embrassassing, everyone in the office thought I had lost my mind it was so funny. I still think some of the people that didnt know what was going on think I'm crazy. In the end three men and four women opened a door for me without knowing what was going on. So the challenged proved chivalry is not dead. But I would not recommend doing this challenge to anyone as you really have to get over the fear of what people think of you. this was by far the most chalenging so thanks Ian!
Make up free day- Challenged by Jaz Banger. Last but not least on Friday I wore no make up all day. I am not sure if anyone seen my snaps but I did it all day and as a make up lover it was hard. But the amount of compliments I got on how fresh faced and young i looked made up for it.
Stay tuned for my next challenge update trust me there are funny ones coming so I'm going to have to post some videos.
I hope you are inspired
Loves Annie xxx
