The main lesson I have learnt from my Lent challenges! You may be shocked!

Hi everyone!

Okay so first of all I just want to say a huge thank you to those are reading my blog, I am so grateful that that even though I haven't blogged in a few weeks, you are still reading.

Just look at all the countries people are tuning in from...

I haven't had a chance to blog recently as I am completing an online coaching course. So as an update since my last blog I have completed numerous other challenges that I will document in my next post.

The most recent one involved my whole office and various other company offices. After spotting numerous signs on the tube about national hat day. I thought it would be a great way for my work colleagues to join me in a challenge and at the same time raise money for a worthy cause.

On the 31st of March, thanks to the wonderful company I work for and everyone involved, we took part in national hat day. This involved wearing a hat for the day and donating £2 to the Brain Research Charity. We raised £500 for the chairity which is a huge achievement and proof that if people work together in this world, we can all make a difference.

But above all I learnt three main personal lessons from my challenges and this evening I will share one.

In this life, it is very easy in life to get comfortable and remain in your own little bubble. Society almost trains us to remain distracted and prevents from actually living out this wonderful blessing to its full potential. Once we are making money, have a nice job and social life we are content to just be. This is fine if you just want to exist, now I am in no way saying that these are not wonderful things to be grateful for, the opposite actually, they are amazing and to be cherished, as there are people in this world who would die for these comforts. But what I am saying is contentment can stop you from moving forward.

As the above photo suggests - if you don't like where you are, move! I would add, even if you do like where you are keep moving.

Keeping trying to be better, smarter and stronger...

Try to be the best at your job give it your all. Try an be the best friend you can be to everyone in your life. Try and be the best you, you can be!

I don't mean work out everyday or wear the designer clothing, although these are nice things and can be part of life. What I mean as an entire person, be the best you can be. Mind body and spirit.

We could work 9-5 everyday, come home eat, hit the gym or meet friends. Then at the weekends have food and get drunk and wish we hadn't on Sunday thus we brainwash ourselves with crappy tv as a distraction from our own lives. Yes we could all do this. Id say a huge part of the population do. But where will it get us??? It will keep us exactly where we are, life will eventually move on and circumstances may alter slightly every few years along the standard society life span hitting classic stages along the way.

Depending where you are in the world and your preferences, they can vary, but in general they would be:

 Graduate

 Get a job
Get a house
Get married
Have kids
Work for an 50 years
 Bring up said kids
 Retire

But you will not really grow that much as person, your circumstances just change and you will adjust to them.

The only way to have true personal growth is to search for it.
I for one and I am sure most of you will agree with me, want to be able look back on my life and say I lived the best life I could have. That I spent valuable time with people I love who made my heart smile, I traveled the world and experienced new cultures. That I used up all of me and what the best of me. I want to be the brainiest version of myself that I can be. I want to recognised in whatever field I am in as the one that always works the hardest to be the best. I want to have abundance in very area of my life. I want to use the unique individual gifts and skills I have been given from God.

This is my goal in life.

What I have learnt from my challenges is that pushing yourself every day pays off.

Push yourself  to step out of your comfort zone, whether that means standing up in front of hundreds of people and giving a speech, or just putting yourself forward for a hard task in work. Even signing up to learn something new. Whatever it is! Do it!

I spoke to my landlord recently he is a qualified doctor and has practiced all his life, he has recently started a law degree and his family think he's crazy because he's 65. I think it is absolutely wonderful and so inspiring. It is never to late to take action, it is never to late to start something new, but life waits for no man so start now!

Don't settle for later, later could be too late.. I for one do not want to get to the end of my life and think to my life I should have lived more.I should have used up all my abilities and gifts. I should have given it my all. Start living life to the full now, say yes when an opportunity arises you never no when that yes will be the one to change your life completely.

I hope you are inspired

Loves Annie xxx
